Sarah Wells - Interim Pastor
Sarah was born in Colorado Springs and feels blessed to call herself a native Coloradan. She married her high school sweetheart Josh and they have been married for 23 years. Besides a couple years in Denver and a couple years in Houston, TX; she and Josh have endeavored to stay near both of their extended families in Colorado Springs and make strong ties there. They have four kids: Alex, 20; Hannah, 18; Elijah, 15; and Naomi, 7. They are blessed with kids who are respectful, actually seem to love each other, and generally get along; which is a surprise to both Josh and Sarah after seeing what they put their parents through so many years ago.
Sarah has an artistic background, having run her own businesses creating graphite pet and people portraits as well as a successful specialty cake business. She home-schooled Alex for four years and since then has been blessed to have the kids in amazing schools that they thrive in. Her beloved career today is the church and she puts many hours of prayer and keyboard-tapping into making sure it has every opportunity to thrive while walking life out with the people there. When she has free time, she loves to walk around a nearby lake and take in nature. Photography and writing are also ongoing passions that she works hard to grow and enjoys immensely.
Kathy Emeis - Children's Ministry Director
Kathy Emeis has been at the Vineyard for about 6 years. She has volunteered and worked in Children's Ministry for over 20 years. She finds the greatest joy in working with children. It keeps her young and makes her happy.
Kathy also works in the public schools as a counselor and previously as a school psychologist. She likes hiking, biking and swimming. She loves snow and reading mystery novels.
Josh Wells & Sarah Wells
Josh and Sarah have been at The Springs Vineyard since the spring of 2013 and were so excited to find a place in Colorado Springs where the Holy Spirit is welcome and able to minister alongside of people. It is their immense pleasure to serve on the Leadership Team with such an amazing group of people.
Brad & Amy Quicksall
Brad and Amy Quicksall have lived in Colorado Springs for over 17 years after relocating from Columbus, Ohio.
Amy was raised in Oregon, graduating from Seattle Pacific University. She worked in the publishing field, specifically in marketing for 14 years at Pearson Education and then David C. Cook. She now spends her time raising and homeschooling their son and volunteering at the church. Her passions are cultivating daily intimacy with Jesus, community building, hiking, cooking, and travel.
Brad grew up in Ohio, graduating from Denison University and Capital University Law School. He was the press secretary for the Columbus Mayor and went on to become National PR Manager for Wendy's International, spending much of his time with founder Dave Thomas. As memorable as that was, his favorite jobs were with Christian organizations - Bible Literature International and David C Cook, where he set up programs overseas for families, children, and pastors. That work took him on over 60 missions-related trips to five continents, including 40 to India. His interests include golf, hiking, photography and raising their son, whom he adores, with Amy (whom he also adores).
Jake & Bethany Smith
Jake and Bethany are the Worship Pastors for The Springs Vineyard and thrive in ushering in the presence of the Holy Spirit. They have a two year-old daughter and are soon expecting a baby boy.
Steve's roles in the Springs Vineyard are centered around worship, media, and leadership. By trade, he is an electrical engineer and brings his background in "high tech" to the Springs Vineyard to help apply technology more transparently to promote worship. He has been involved in music ministries in many churches, including several Vineyard churches, large and small, since Jr. high school, playing flute, acoustic guitar, bass, and piano/keyboard. Steve's hobbies include hiking in the mountains, playing (and recording) music, woodworking, and wine making.
Julie has served on the Leadership Team for The Springs Vineyard more than once as her wisdom and insight are a great asset to the church. Julie also has a heart for the kids and serves as an assistant to Kathy, our children's ministry director.
